Discipline Series: Part 3 with Janis Keyser – Time-outs

by Christine@TheAums on January 17, 2011 · 2 comments

Do ‘time outs’ work?  Janis Keyser, co-author of Becoming the Parent You Want to Be, talks about the advantages and disadvantages of giving your child time-outs.  I honestly can’t say that I’ve ever given my kids time-outs, though I have asked them to leave a situation, I’ve left with them, or I’ve taken a time-out myself.  I definitely believe in the ‘parent time-out.’  Do time-outs work for you?
