I’ve been in a bit of a personal slump. For a good while now, I’ve been feeling slumpy, dumpy, grumpy, crappy, crummy, lousy, and just plain off!
Haven’t fit in exercise since I finished that 6-week weight loss challenge on iVillage. Pathetic, right? Since I’m being honest…I pretty much stopped the exact second I finished shooting my last video update talking about how great and successful and life-changing the challenge was. I actually do miss that kind of motivation.
Anyway, add to the lack of exercise the fact that I’m not eating my normal “Santa Cruz” vegetarian diet. Yup, I’m still eating like a vegetarian in Florida.
Let’s see what else…oh yeah! There’s a little something I call STRESS. Let me tell you, stress is what happens to me when I cram all this into a week on top of my normal shit *bleep!*
Lastly, my sleep pattern is all out of whack. Certainly I’m not getting enough of it. But I used to wake up early, alarm-free, just to get in some quiet, productive, kid-free time. Lately, I’m more of a set the alarm ’til the exact last minute before I have to jump up, feed the kids breakfast, get ready for work, put a load of laundry in, and out the door!
But today, today I had motivation for getting out of bed and starting my day. You see, I am hooked on The Six Year Itch, a blog by Liz, newest member of the iVoices team. To her credit, I am no longer disguising foul language on my blog with $, #, &, %. Thanks, Liz!
So, I couldn’t wait to see what she had in store for her readers today. As always, she didn’t disappoint. Trust me, you need to follow The Six Year Itch. So, click here to see what I can finally cross off my blogging bucket list.
