Aprons, Mitts, Pedometers, Oh My!

by Christine@TheAums on September 17, 2011 · 11 comments

I may be mourning the loss of my pictures and the possible end of my marriage, but that’s no reason for you to have to suffer. That’s why I’m hosting a giveaway!

In honor of the iVillage Mealtime Makeover Challenge, I have aprons and oven mitts! Woohoo! And as a tribute to my recent 21 Day Lifestyle Makeover Challenge, I have pedometers. I’m quite pleased with this winning combo and I have 5 sets to give away!

To be eligible, just visit my page at iVillage  http://www.ivillage.com/christine-candelaria-0/8-a-377555?nlcid=mt|09-15-2011| and “chime in.” Let me know ANYTHING: Did you join the challenge? No? Well you still can. If you’ve been following along, what’s been your favorite tip from Chef Antonia or moi? Do you have any secrets to share? I mean about food…and eating it with your family.

While you’re there, be sure to check out my latest video on serving breakfast for dinner.

On Friday, September 23, I’ll pick 5 winners using randAUM.org, so you know what that means…my Aumies pick names out of hat!

My blog stats show that you have very good chances of winning, so go on…give it a try! Good luck!

P.S. Please make sure you leave a way to get ahold of you , whether it’s your twitter handle, email, fb, etc. Thank you!

No recovery of your pictures yet?? I hope there’s still a chance!

Not yet, Jen. There’s still a chance for sure, but the computer crashing again and again is slowing things way down. It’s just a lot of data and I’m chomping at the bit to take it to a professional while being as patient as I can be with my husband. He’s also talking about some new software that comes out in 8 months that will really help recover lost files…I don’t know if I’m THAT patient though. Thanks for checking in :)

I learned some interesting things about you on iVillage! I’m a fellow (newbie) mom of four. :)

Well, I love learning that you are a fellow mom of 4 with 2 boys and 2 girls no less! (correct me if I’m wrong!). I appreciate you visiting my iVillage page and chiming in!

Just a followup on my “chime-in” on iVillage: Holly liked making them but didn’t like eating the “egg pies.” My hubby did like the spinach and mushroom quiche. He doesn’t like the store-bought ones so this was a nice surprise. Thanks for the idea.

Hmmm…I remember ketchup helped the first time I tried it with the kids. But I’ve since cut down on ketchup consumption and replaced with kid-friendly salsa. It did take a few times of seeing quiche on the table before the kids accepted that quiche was going to be a part of our lives so they might as well like it. The frittata went down well the first time…have you tried that? I liked Antonia’s recipe with the onions and potatoes!

Can I just say that I’m adding onion goggles to my Christmas list? I’d look awesome in that apron remaking that fritatta. I’ve never made one that I liked oddly enough. But I’m gonna give this one a go this week.
