I couldn’t resist this week’s prompt for Mama Kat’s Pretty Much World Famous Writer’s Workshop: Pinterest Challenge, find something you’ve pinned, TRY it and share it. Was it worth pinning?
First, this would probably be a good time to ask you to follow me on Pinterest, so if you’d be so inclined, please
. And if you don’t know or understand what Pinterest is, I always say it’s like this:
Only waaaaay better, you know, copyright controversy aside.
Now, if you’ve seen me recently, you’d know that my hair has achieved the coveted below boob status…which is saying a lot considering I’ve nursed 4 babies! It’s also achieved the not-so-coveted salt ‘n’ pepper look, but moving on…I came across one of Jenny on the Spot’s pins for this hair tutorial on hand blow dried curls, and well, I gave it a try and this is what I got on my first attempt:
As someone who knows exactly two hairstyles, up in a butterfly clip or down, just down, maybe with a hat, this was AMAZING! Like seriously life-changing! So, yes indeed, this pinterest challenge was well-worth pinning. And if I don’t exercise/sweat too hard, I can get a good 2 to 3 days out of this before I have to break out the dry hair shampoo.
And there you have it folks! If you’re new or visiting me from Mama Kat’s, thanks for stopping by and please consider following me on Facebook and twitter.

Absolutely fabulous! I mean the hair, not Eddie and Patsy.
Hahaha! If only I was brave enough to go red.
After you posted that photo on IG I followed the tutorial and have been successfully wearing my hair like that since. You changed my life with that pin. YOU AND JENNY are changing the world baby!!!
Pictures Stasha!

Bellisima, Stasha! Thanks for sharing!
You look amazing!!
Thanks Elizabeth…you should try it!
I’m thinking when my hair grows just a bit more…. it’s only to my shoulders, about an inch past! And by the way, I LOVE dry shampoo!! I only recently discovered it (thanks to sis-in-law) and it’s the BEST!
You see, we’re really not that different at all
Hee hee!
Wow! I love Pinterest, and I love it when I pin something and actually use it
Your hair is gorgeous, as are you…I see no bags.
Thank you Jen…I know I searched through instagram filters until I found one that minimized the baggage.
You did a great job on this hair tutorial. Mine didn’t turn out as nice but I think that’s because I got lazy with the blow drying. My arms started to hurt.
Thanks…I think I told you, but the trick for me is to wait til hair is more dry than wet. Definitely minimizes blow drying time. I thought your waves looked good!
Duuuude that would NEVER work on my hair. It can’t keep a curl if my life depended on it, but how I long for hair like YOURS. That worked so good!!!
Thanks…I still think you should try it. I think the tutorial said something about spraying a salt spray before blow drying if your hair doesn’t usually keep a curl. I’m sure the result would be a cute beachy wave on you.
Love. Love. Love. You’re gorgeous. And, I don’t know what you’re talking about. I don’t see any bags under your eyes. Seriously.
Thank you, Jessica…for the compliment and blurry vision
gorgeous! Your hair always look beautiful. Mine breaks off and wont’ grow any longer. And it used to be thick, but now it’s so thin and sad. Thanks kids!
Leah Mastilock recently posted..Talk about awkward! {Blog a Day in May Challenge- Day 3}
Thanks, Leah
I used to thank the kids for thin hair and receding hair line (postpartum hair loss). Now I just thank them for the grays.
